On October 18th, HITN employees united in a heartfelt show of support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month by joining the national Wear It Pink Day initiative.

HITN wore it pink.

This campaign invites individuals and organizations to wear pink as a visible sign of support for breast cancer awareness. HITN recognizes the importance of such initiatives in spreading awareness about breast cancer and its impact, particularly among underrepresented communities.

Breast cancer continues to affect both women and men worldwide, but research highlights that people of color, including Hispanic women, often face more aggressive forms of the disease. Studies indicate that Hispanic women are more likely to be diagnosed at later stages compared to other ethnic groups, frequently due to barriers in healthcare access, information, and early detection.

Wear It Pink was launched in the United Kingdom by Breast Cancer Now, a leading breast cancer research and support charity. Celebrated annually since 2002, the campaign has grown into a global movement that plays a significant role in raising awareness and supporting research to bring us closer to a future without breast cancer. HITN is proud to support this meaningful cause, recognizing that even small gestures contribute to the larger movement of supporting those impacted by breast cancer.

In a moment of solidarity and hope, HITN team members proudly displayed shades of pink, standing together not only as colleagues but as a unified community in support of one another and the millions affected by breast cancer. HITN was honored to play a role in raising awareness for this important cause.
