Members of HITN’s team in New York were invited by the Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation (LEINN) program at Mondragón University to take part in an educational initiative connecting students with U.S.-based companies.
This university program is designed to provide students with real-world experience by working with organizations to develop products and services tailored to client needs. As a learning tool, this hands-on experience allows students to apply their classroom knowledge in professional settings.
As part of this educational journey—known as the Learning Journey—organized by the TZBZ cooperative under the Travelling University project, HITN joined four other companies in presenting students with a business challenge. Using the Design Thinking methodology, participants had 48 hours to develop a solution.
HITN’s challenge focused on creating a strategy to keep the network relevant to its audience and expand its viewership, particularly among younger demographics. The students exceeded expectations, impressing HITN executives with their innovative proposals.
LEINN is part of the Mondragon Team Academy (MTA), a global network of team-based entrepreneurs founded in 2008, with more than 1,300 young entrepreneurs across eight locations on three continents. This year, 62 aspiring entrepreneurs participated, eager to make an impact through their projects.
By engaging in these initiatives, HITN reinforces its commitment to educating and entertaining the U.S. Hispanic community while gaining valuable international perspectives from other Spanish-speaking countries.
