
Linda Hernandez & Mike Nieves
The Silver Circle recognizes individuals with 25 or more years of significant contributions to the television industry within the Suncoast region, which includes Florida, Puerto Rico, and parts of Louisiana, Alabama, and Georgia.
Hernandez has enjoyed a distinguished career in media and broadcasting. Her experience includes serving as Executive Director of El Nuevo Día (Orlando), leading newsroom operations and coverage strategies; President of the Puerto Rico Public Broadcasting Corporation, overseeing public radio and television stations; and Vice President and News Director for WLII TV Channel 11 for two decades. She also taught Television Production at American University in Puerto Rico, founded the Bibliographical Investigation Center in San Juan, and worked with WKAQ-TV Channel 2 and WAPA-TV Channel 4. Earlier in her career, she served as an Auxiliary Librarian at the University of Puerto Rico.

The Suncoast Emmy Awards gala, celebrating television excellence and industry pioneers, will be held in June 2025.
