January 6 marks Three Kings Day, also known as “Día de los Reyes Magos.”
The holiday commemorates the three wise men who traveled from afar bearing gifts for baby Jesus. It is one of the most important Latin American and Caribbean holidays of the year. This year, HITN celebrated the 37th Annual Three Kings Day in partnership with Councilwoman Darma Diaz (D-37), Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez, NYPD Community Affairs-Chief Maddrey, and the NYPD 75th Precinct at the North Brooklyn YMCA . HITN donated $2,500 to provide a cultural celebration at the YMCA, bringing 100’s of toys, smiles and joy to the neighboring Latino families. Families also received PPE equipment in an effort to provide additional protection and support.
