A group of eight dedicated employees from HITN showcased their commitment to a healthy and active work environment by participating in the 45th edition of the TD Five Boro Bike Tour on May 7th.
The event, which had a staggering 32,000 registered participants, proved to be an exhilarating experience for the HITN team as they rode along a car-free, 40-mile route from Lower Manhattan to Staten Island.
The HITN team, consisting of Richard Quintero, Briszeida Bullock, Jennifer Martin, Ysabella Escalona, Sandra Fonseca, Aura M. Jiménez Villanueva, Mauricio Gallego, and Milagros Canelón, embraced the challenge with unwavering enthusiasm. Their dedication and indomitable spirit allowed them to conquer the entire route effortlessly, symbolizing the company’s emphasis on promoting an active and healthy lifestyle among its employees.
This year’s TD Five Boro Bike Tour marked a significant milestone, celebrating the participation of the one-millionth person since the inaugural event in 1977. The tour, organized by Bike New York, a remarkable nonprofit organization, aims to provide free bike education programs throughout the five boroughs. Bike New York plays a pivotal role in imparting essential bike skills to 30,000 children and adults annually, ensuring a safer and more sustainable biking community.
