As part of its ongoing commitment to the Hispanic community in New York, HITN has donated 17 iPads to Mary Mother of the Church Parish in Brooklyn.
The devices are intended to support young students who recently arrived in the country and face significant challenges in language acquisition and academic instruction.
“These iPads will serve as valuable tools for our students, allowing them to access real-time classroom lessons, translate documents and notes, and look up unfamiliar words,” said Rev. Edward Mason, pastor of Mary Mother of the Church Parish. “By integrating technology into their learning process, we aim to foster independence, enhance research skills, and create a more focused and productive academic environment. Ultimately, this will help improve their English proficiency and overall academic performance.”
At a time when the immigrant community requires greater support, HITN’s initiative seeks to make a meaningful impact on the lives of these students, providing them with resources to succeed in their education.
