In a heartwarming, surprise farewell luncheon, colleagues bid a fond goodbye to Geraldo ‘Panamá’ Ford, who has dedicated the last six years of his professional life to HITN.
Ford’s journey at HITN, which began in 2017 as a vital member of the Maintenance Team, has been characterized by his dedication to maintaining a safe and pristine working environment, in line with state and city-mandated cleaning protocols.
During the gathering, HITN’s President and CEO, Michael D. Nieves, expressed his profound gratitude, stating, “Individuals like Panamá have a lot to teach to our new generations, such his commitment to excellence and loyalty.”
Notably, during the challenging times of the pandemic, Ford and his fellow Facilities team members took the lead in ensuring that HITN consistently adhered to the latest COVID-19 safety standards.
Touched by the heartfelt outpouring of support from coworkers, Panamá expressed his appreciation, humbly remarking, “It has been great to work with such a talented team. You can always consider me a friend.”
